Job Summary
Senior Controls Engineer responsible for designing and implementing control systems across Tyson facilities. Leads projects to completion, advocates innovative solutions, and collaborates with cross-functional teams. Requires PLC/SCADA/HMI programming expertise (e.g., EcoStruxure, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Inductive Automation Ignition), experience interfacing with ERP and cloud/IIoT platforms, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Travel 10–12 trips per year for start-up of control systems at job sites. Supervisory responsibilities include directing other team members and contractors on project deliverables. Emphasizes ISO/ISA standards familiarity, electrical safety knowledge (NFPA 70E), and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Equal Opportunity Employer. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years in control engineering
- Proficiency in PLC/SCADA/HMI
- Experience with ERP interfaces and cloud/IIoT is a plus
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Willingness to travel 10–12 trips per year
