Job Summary
Senior Controls Engineer to join Tyson Foods and collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to design, develop, and implement advanced control systems across Tyson facilities. Drive innovative solutions, lead projects to completion, work independently and within a team, and apply problem-solving to develop and troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions. Required experience with PLC/SCADA platforms (e.g., EcoStruxure, Rockwell, Inductive Automation Ignition), HMI/SCADA programming, and familiarity with ERP interfaces, cloud/IIoT platforms, electrical schematics, and ISA/NFPA standards. Travel 10–12 trips per year to job sites for start-up and support. Supervisory responsibilities may include directing other team members and contractors. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field (preferred)
- 3+ years manufacturing experience
- Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI
- Travel 10-12 trips per year
- Willingness to travel to job sites for start-up of control systems
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with ERP interfaces and IIoT/cloud platforms
- Experience with programming PLCs/HMIs/SCADA
