Job Summary
The Senior Engineer - Automation Engineering will collaborate within the Automation Engineering Department to provide automation support for operating areas and capital projects, focusing primarily on Instrumentation and Control Hardware. Key responsibilities include working with DeltaV and Rockwell Allen Bradley systems, troubleshooting control loops, supporting project delivery, and maintaining the validated state of control system hardware. The role requires experience in automation engineering activities, a strong understanding of P&IDs, as well as the ability to engage with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. in Engineering
- 2+ years working experience in Biopharma engineering, operations, or manufacturing
- Knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, computer system validation
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in highly automated Greenfield Pharmaceutical facility
- Experience with tuning and troubleshooting of control loops and Field Instruments
- Hands-on experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s)
- Demonstrated ability in resolving complex technical challenges with instrument and control system hardware
- Good planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, commitment to task completion and timelines
