Sr. End User Computing Engineer / Telecommunication Engineer

Job Summary

Lead the strategy, management, security, and modernization of the organization's endpoint environment, including workstations, mobile devices, and user technology services. Design, implement, and optimize endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Endpoint Central, and Entra ID while establishing device provisioning standards, configuration baselines, and compliance policies. Strengthen endpoint security through BitLocker, device hardening, and vulnerability remediation, partnering with IT leadership and security teams to improve support processes and efficiency. Evaluate vendor solutions and develop technical documentation to create a scalable environment. Support select telecom and Teams Phone responsibilities, including cellular devices and conference room technology. This hybrid role requires minimum two days per week onsite at the Willmar, MN campus, with occasional travel to local customers and field sites.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience
  • significant experience in endpoint administration, desktop engineering, systems administration, or related roles
  • Experience managing Windows endpoints and endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager, Endpoint Central, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, networking, and end-user technologies
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security, including encryption, vulnerability remediation, device compliance, configuration baselines, conditional access, and least-privilege principles
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at a senior technical level, making sound decisions, evaluating risk, and balancing security, usability, scalability, supportability, and cost
  • Experience developing and maintaining endpoint standards, processes, device provisioning, application deployment, patching, compliance, and workstation lifecycle management
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to resolve complex endpoint and user technology issues
  • Excellent communication, documentation, organization, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT teams, vendors, business leaders, and end users
  • Ability to work independently, identify risks and opportunities, make recommendations, and translate business needs into practical, secure, and supportable technology solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum of two days per week onsite
  • Regular onsite engagement with local customers is expected, including recurring 1:1s, site visits, and project/support coordination
  • Occasional travel to other company locations may be required
  • Some locations may include office, production, farm, hatchery, or field environments with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, temperature variation, and other normal site conditions

Desired Qualifications

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or similar certification
