Job Summary
Conduct fair, unbiased, and expeditious investigations into complex team member concerns using designated online case management tools like Navex. Partner with Legal on high-risk allegations while providing recommendations for appropriate course of action based on investigation outcomes. Train HR team members on thorough investigative compliance and review cases to issue trend data that reduces organizational risk. Contribute critical input to the formation and consistent application of company policies based on findings, and support the evolution of the ER framework for managing internal claims. Uphold strict adherence to data integrity and confidentiality while collaborating with HR and non-HR partners to mediate volatile situations. Work evenings and weekends as business requires within a hybrid environment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, JD, or another related field
- 7+ years of progressive employee relations experience, including extensive experience in completing workplace investigations
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment law, as well as Labor Relations and standard methodologies in conducting workplace investigations
- Experience working with HR information systems (i.e., Workday) and investigation case management software (i.e., Navex)
- Impeccable written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, using exceptional active listening skills to determine issues and formulate and ask appropriate follow-up questions
- Demonstrable track record of using good judgment to handle complex or volatile situations effectively and to mediate in cases where required
- Ability to collaborate with HR and non-HR partners to achieve results
- Strong creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize multiple overlapping tasks with close attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency
- Ability to work into the evenings and weekends as business requires
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with international e-commerce, distribution or fulfillment centers, veterinary, or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Experience with Union and Non-Union organizations a plus
