Sr. Embedded Software Engineer (Starlink)

Job Summary
Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant consumer devices and gateways for Starlink's satellite constellation, writing quality Linux-based software for ARM and RISC-V processors. Develop prototypes to prove design concepts, work with the factory on in-house manufacturing, and build systems enabling test execution across virtualized hardware and real hardware-in-the-loop simulations. Invent tools for continuous integration, release, and data analysis while developing telemetry systems scaling to millions of devices. Participate in architecture reviews and ensure systems resist adversarial attacks. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Development experience in C, C++, Golang, Python, or Rust
- Experience with embedded or low level systems development
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
