Job Summary
Develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems within the New Glenn Avionics Software organization. Manage requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing of software components and tools critical for vehicle avionics and ground systems. Contribute to safety-critical real-time embedded software development for a fully reusable, human-capable launch vehicle. Work directly with hardware and programmable logic to enable routine carriage of people and payloads to Earth orbit and beyond.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related subject area
- 8+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components
- Solid understanding of operating systems and network protocols
- Experience working with real-time systems and developing software that interfaced directly with hardware and programmable logic
- Passion for our mission and vision
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
- Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Ser...
