Job Summary
Senior Embedded Security Engineer to architect and develop robust security infrastructure for SPAN's hardware products. Responsibilities include implementing secure and authenticated boot flows, designing OTA update systems with encryption and anti-rollback protections for remote deployments, and integrating security provisioning into factory manufacturing. You’ll establish secure device identities and root-of-trust architectures using onboard hardware security modules (HSMs/TPMs), design secure debug architectures (e.g., JTAG, SWD, UART), and harden Linux/POSIX-based systems. Prototyping new security features, identifying vulnerabilities, and driving continuous security improvements are key. Must bring hands-on hardware security experience, cryptographic services expertise, and proficiency in C/C++, Rust, and Python, with OS-level security design capabilities and bare-metal firmware experience.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in hardware security, embedded systems engineering, or a closely related field
- Advanced hands-on experience configuring and deploying TPMs and HSMs
- Strong programming proficiency in C/C++, Rust and Python
- Experience designing, architecting, and implementing security solutions at the operating system level
- Core expertise in bare-metal embedded systems development and firmware security
- Familiarity with building and configuring custom Linux distributions using Yocto Linux
