Job Summary
Senior Electronic Payments Specialist responsible for investigating and resolving debit card and ACH disputes in accordance with Regulation E, determining claim validity (including unauthorized transactions, fraud, and error resolution), and ensuring compliance with timelines. Uses the FINBOA platform to intake, document, track, and resolve claims; maintains audit-ready case notes; processes fraud and non-fraud claims; interacts with card networks for chargebacks; ensures NACHA rules compliance; handles WSUDs; communicates claim status to customers; provides guidance on Reg E, ACH, and card dispute processes; serves as SME for junior staff and supports training, process improvements, and procedural updates. Keeps metrics on volume and turnaround time and champions the credit union’s brand and culture.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in electronic payments, disputes, or fraud operations
- Strong knowledge of Regulation E (EFTA)
- ACH processing and NACHA rules
- Debit card dispute and chargeback processes
- Experience using FINBOA or similar dispute management systems
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage high volumes and meet strict deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
