Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in embedded systems and sensors to architect, implement, and validate electrical designs for advanced machine control applications. Lead the development of inertial sensor technology (IMUs) from prototyping through production. Collaborate with system, controls, firmware, and mechanical teams to deliver hardware solutions robust to harsh environments, driving circuit analysis, design reviews, validation test plans, and production readiness. Provide technical leadership, mentorship to junior engineers, and ensure compliance with Functional Safety standards. Proficient in Matlab, SPICE, C/C++, and sensor fusion concepts; experienced with IMUs, accelerometers, and gyroscopes; comfortable documenting specifications, conducting design reviews, and communicating with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or Bachelor’s Degree (BSEE) with equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in electronic circuit design, research, and debugging for embedded systems and sensors with a focus on IMUs
- robust expertise in analog and digital circuit design and risk mitigation
- experience with Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), accelerometers and gyroscopes
- proficiency in Matlab and SPICE (PSpice) simulation, and familiarity with C and C++ firmware development
- ability to write technical specifications and present to customers and cross-functional stakeholders
- experience designing Functional Safety products or transferable experience
- experience with Agile PLM and Oracle ERP systems (bonus)
- advanced proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace for BOM creation and data analysis
- strong communication and leadership abilities
