Job Summary
Senior Embedded Engineer will lead design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects. Drives test plans and procedures for new product embedded systems, communicates progress and risks across the organization, manages critical milestones, mentors junior engineers, and may lead a small team. Requires hands-on use of lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition), strong C programming and firmware architecture knowledge, expertise in power electronics, sensor integration and validation, and the ability to travel up to 10%. Familiarity with regulatory standards (UL, CEC, CE, ANSI) and experience with schematic capture/PCB layout and DOE data-driven design are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in related design field
- Expertise in C programming and related development tools
- Experience in power electronics circuit design and control
- Knowledge of sensor selection, integration, and validation (e.g., torque, force, position sensing)
- Ability to travel up to 10% (Domestic and International)
- Experience reading schematics and component datasheets; basic digital understanding
- Familiarity with schematic capture, PCB layout software, SPICE, and industry best practices
