Job Summary
Sr. Electrical Engineer responsible for overseeing low, medium, and high voltage systems, leading arc flash analysis, updating electrical drawings, and developing safety procedures. Manages capital project plans to improve electrical infrastructure, drives equipment reliability through predictive maintenance, and collaborates with Maintenance and Project Engineering to ensure installation and maintenance. Ensures adherence to NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B and lifecycle asset management practices; develops specifications for equipment purchase, participates in equipment selection, and conducts acceptance testing; identifies and resolves electrical issues impacting plant operations and performance. Travel is expected occasionally; position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience and TWIC card; industry experience in chemical or oil refining is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 10+ years of experience (preferred)
- NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B knowledge (required)
- Familiarity with NETA and IEEE standards (preferred)
- TWIC card (mandatory)
- Ability to travel occasionally (less than 10%)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
