Sr. Electrical Engineer - Production Hardware

Job Summary

Enhance electrical engineering skills by working with digital, analog, and RF hardware to test and debug complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering disciplines to document concurrence and resolve production, testing, and integration issues. Provide technical oversight and direction for airborne electrical products while managing cost, schedule, and technical requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Support development and sustainment activities including circuit design, test automation scripting, and post-test flight analysis. This role drives program execution within Raytheon's Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) Department in Tucson, AZ, requiring a DoD Secret security clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' prior relevant experience
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis
  • Experience with digital signal processing
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers
  • Less than 10% annual travel
  • 1st shift availability
  • Self-starter who's capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team
  • Providing technical oversight and direction
  • Cost estimation
  • Tracking & reporting
  • Coordination
  • Preparation of detailed technical team reports
  • Proposal support

  • Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem
  • Experience including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment
  • Experience with test automation scripting
  • Experience with test conduction
  • Experience with sensor control
  • Experience with printed circuit board fabrication
  • Experience with circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Designer
