Job Summary

Sr. Electrical Engineer role leading design and integration of complex electrical and electromechanical hardware for aerospace applications. You will own end-to-end electrical subsystems from concept through production release, architect power electronics and embedded digital hardware, drive manufacturability and cost, and collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to scale prototypes to production. You’ll work across architectures spanning avionics communication (CAN and other buses), EMI/EMC mitigation, signal integrity, DFM/DFT/DFC/ DFA decisions, and production test strategies, with hands-on lab and production involvement and a focus on robust, certifiable hardware for aerospace, transportation, robotics, and advanced mobility. Evidence of leadership in system architecture, production-release readiness, and cross-functional teamwork in fast-moving hardware teams is expected, along with experience shipping hardware and navigating regulated development environments (preferred). This role emphasizes practical execution, strong technical grounding in electrical hardware, and a bias toward delivering reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective aerospace-grade electronics.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in developing and shipping complex electronic hardware
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred; relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Strong proficiency with Altium (or comparable ECAD tools)
  • Experience across multiple hardware domains (Power electronics and motor drives; Embedded digital and microcontroller-based systems; Sensor interfacing and mixed-signal design)
  • Experience working directly with suppliers/CMs to industrialize boards and resolve yield, test coverage, tolerance, and quality issues
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing test strategies (ICT, functional test development, fixture design, environmental qualification, SPC)
  • DO-254, DO-160, ARP4754B, ARP4761 familiarity (preferred)
  • MATLAB, Python, or scripting for analysis, automation, or test development
  • Electric propulsion, actuator drive systems, or high-reliability embedded hardware
  • Collaborative, systems-level mindset
  • Engineers who ship—not just design
  • Bias toward action in fast-moving, hardware-focused teams
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
  • Hands-on in lab and production environments
  • Ability to balance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
  • Familiarity with CAN, RS-485, ARINC, or similar aviation buses
  • Experience with production release and documentation
  • Aerospace or aviation systems experience
  • Background in fast-iteration, high-performance industries (automotive, robotics, etc.)
  • Python or MATLAB scripting
  • ARINC 429/ARINC 429 may be relevant
  • DO-254/DO-160/ARP4754B/ARP4761 experience is a plus
