Sr. Electrical Engineer - Federal/Design Principal

Job Summary
Conduct field surveys, prepare site assessment reports, and design electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and riser diagrams for federal, ports, and infrastructure projects. Perform electrical calculations using ETAP/SKM, coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural disciplines, and apply National Electrical Code and Washington State standards. Manage large-scale projects involving senior engineers and sub-consultants, provide mentorship, prepare client proposals, and review RFIs and equipment submittals during construction administration. Requires a Registered Professional Engineer license, 10+ years of experience, and AutoCAD/Revit proficiency. US citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer license
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design
- Experience leading electrical design projects and teams
- Experience performing QA/QC on electrical projects and mentoring engineers
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, inquisitive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a US Citizen
- National Electrical Code
- Washington State Codes
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM; Revit is a plus
