Job Summary
Lead electrical design and integration for Endera's EV/hybrid commercial vehicle platforms. Own the full lifecycle of electrical system design, documentation, and integration; establish department standards, tools, and processes; evolve into a leadership role as the team scales. Responsibilities include designing HV and 12V electrical systems, producing schematics, harnesses, BOMs, and control module programming; validating designs through test plans and sign-off documentation; coordinating cross-functional activities across production, service, and supply chain; researching new technologies to drive cost efficiency and performance; and developing scalable engineering documentation and processes for sustained departmental growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in automotive/commercial vehicle/mobile equipment
- Demonstrated experience with 12V automotive/electrical systems; high-voltage EV systems preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD tools
- Experience programming or modifying automotive vehicle control modules
- Ability to develop and own engineering documentation (schematics, BOMs, work instructions)
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory and vehicle electrical integration
- Familiarity with SAE/FM VSS standards (preferred)
- Experience with CAN bus architecture (a plus)
