Job Summary
Design schematic and PCB layout solutions for advanced high-voltage battery concepts, focusing on early development and prototype hardware. Own board-level electrical design from concept through bring up, including component selection, circuit design, and bench validation. Integrate new electrical hardware into prototype systems and support fabrication, assembly, and design iteration with PCBA suppliers. Troubleshoot board-level hardware issues across BMS and related electronics, performing signal path debugging, root cause analysis, and failure analysis support. Help mature new battery electrical and HV technology concepts into robust hardware for future production designs. Collaborate with systems, controls, software, and mechanical teams to iterate on advanced concepts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in automotive, battery, aerospace, power electronics, or related industries
- At least a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong experience in schematic capture, PCB design, and board level electrical development
- Hands on experience with board bring up, lab debugging, and root cause analysis in complex embedded or power electronic systems
- Practical experience working with prototype PCB/PCBA suppliers and supporting fast hardware iteration cycles
- Strong analog and mixed signal electrical fundamentals
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and contribute across a wide range of advanced development tasks
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- High voltage and/or power electronics design experience is highly desirable
