Sr. Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary
Conceptualize electrical systems, create wiring schematics, and program diagrams for high-speed automation packaging machinery from concept through production. Manage projects from inception to completion, developing and testing new designs while troubleshooting state-of-the-art equipment. Program servo drives, read ladder logic, and generate bills of materials using SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD. Provide engineering support for field service technicians and deliver technical training at client facilities. Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to assist with software or hardware repairs and installations. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 7-10 years of capital equipment design experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in capital equipment design and service
- 7-10 years of related high speed automation and electrical design experience
- Proficient in the use of CAD software for electrical design documentation utilizing SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD or similar system
- Demonstrated experience in the design of Stepper motor, Servo, and touch screen controlled capital equipment systems or machinery
- Specific experience in the Packaging industry
- Excellent knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to travel, up to 20%, including internationally
