Sr. EHS Site Lead

Job Summary

Conduct facility inspections, perform job hazard analyses, and manage hazardous waste disposal programs to identify and mitigate EHS risks. Develop, track, and deliver employee training on safety protocols including LOTO, machine safety, and Biosafety Level 2 requirements. Lead the Safety Committee, maintain regulatory compliance records for local, state, and federal reporting, and coordinate safety audits and vendor relations. Assist in corrective actions following incident investigations and provide technical EHS expertise for capital expansion and validation projects. Engage in virtual collaboration with corporate partners to align site performance with global objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a regulated industry
  • Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or other regulated laboratory related industry experience
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State Regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA)
  • Professional certification in the environmental or safety field (e.g., CHMM, CSP, or CIH)
  • CSP certification

Desired Qualifications

  • First Aid/AED/CPR Certification
  • Experience and working knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards, including LOTO, machine safety, ergonomics, chemical safety, and Biosafety Level 2 requirements
  • Experience leading the Safety Committee
  • Experience developing, conducting, and tracking training of employees on EHS programs
  • Experience maintaining EHS records, licenses and reporting to local, state, and federal organizations in compliance with regulations
  • Experience developing and supporting implementation of safety policies, procedures, and programs in alignment of Global EHS objectives
  • Experience conducting job hazard analysis
  • Experience recommending preventative/corrective actions
  • Experience inspecting facilities to identify EHS risks
  • Experience managing hazardous waste disposal programs
  • Experience coordinating safety and environmental audits and testing
  • Experience supporting capital facility expansion and renovation projects by providing EHS technical expertise and resources to new business and validation and engineering projects with ownership in outcomes
  • Experience managing relations with safety related service providers and vendors
