Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of clients by assisting in the completion of SR&ED claims in Canada and R&D tax credit claims in the US. Prepare practical solutions to optimize clients' returns from government incentives while attending reviews and supporting claim preparation. Deliver assignments on time and within budget to meet client expectations, engaging in business development to identify new opportunities. Lead claim preparation and review engagements, applying complex technical challenges to maximize federal and provincial tax credits. Manage financial aspects of client engagements and contribute to team technical acumen development.
Required Qualifications
- Proven in computer science, IT, or technical management including competencies in Software development, hardware development and IT systems
- A degree or education in a STEM field or related discipline
- Broad knowledge of current development technologies including web development, XML, Java, JavaScript, C#, database technologies, open source, mobile apps, and other related technologies
- Prior experience with the SR&ED tax credit program including preparing and supporting IT or software based SR&ED claims
- Excellent written and oral communication skills combined with intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving abilities
- Creative problem-solving skills to apply the SR&ED rules to client opportunities and the skill and experience needed to lead claim preparation and review engagements
