Job Summary
Sr. Distribution Operations Manager leads the overall logistical movement and control of materials, including inbound/outbound, inter-plant, production supply, inventory management, warehouse operations and transportation. Responsible for expense control and warehouse operational KPI's. Serves as process owner for warehouse/shipping and inventory, drives optimization and continuous improvement projects, explores automated warehouse technologies (e.g., VLM/ASRS), and partners with Global Supply Chain/Purchasing to implement PFEP across planning, warehousing, and material flow. Manages a team of shipping/warehouse personnel, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback; ensures GMP/ISO compliance and financial controls; collaborates cross-functionally to close operational gaps and support production schedules. The role requires leadership in lean warehouse environments, inventory-control strategy development, and proficiency with SAP and warehouse management systems; experience in a regulated medical-device environment is preferred. The position is based in the USA (San Jose, CA) with a salary range of $134,100.00 - $214,500.00 USD Annual. Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in Logistics management
- Advanced experience in SAP and warehouse management systems
- Experience in Medical Device or regulated industry
- Experience operating in a lean warehouse environment
- Skills in developing and executing inventory control strategies
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and shipping software
- Experience implementing warehouse management or barcoding systems
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView)
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office suite
