Job Summary
Oversee outbound operations for a designated section of the terminal dock, including loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight unloading; manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve production schedules; ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring cube and weight; provide leadership and accountability to drivers, dock workers, and dock hands; monitor dock production and KPIs; ensure safety and DOT/OSHA compliance; collaborate to maintain a culture of excellence in product quality for internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving
- Strong leadership qualities
- High aptitude for technology
- Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
