Job Summary
Own the outbound marketing strategy for Marvell's Optical & Data Center Systems portfolio, translating silicon-level photonic innovation into compelling narratives for hyperscaler and data center operator audiences. Define differentiated value propositions and messaging hierarchies for photonic fabric, co-packaged optics, data center switching, and coherent DCI solutions. Lead product launch planning and execution while developing competitive response playbooks and sales enablement content to equip customer-facing teams. Build and execute a technology marketing strategy that establishes Marvell as a leader in optical-scale AI infrastructure through a pipeline of white papers, executive presentations, and thought leadership assets. Serve as the primary outbound marketing partner to product line executives, collaborating across corporate, digital, and events functions to ensure consistent portfolio messaging. Represent the marketing function in senior leadership forums and major industry forums such as OFC and OCP.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree
- 15+ years of progressive experience in outbound product marketing or technology marketing within the semiconductor, systems, or AI infrastructure industry
- Deep expertise in AI/data center optical infrastructure — including co-packaged optics (CPO), silicon photonics, data center switching, and coherent DCI
- Demonstrated understanding of the hyperscaler and data center operator buyer landscape, platform-level purchasing dynamics, and the competitive and technology trends shaping next-generation AI scale-up connectivity
- Demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi-product outbound marketing programs — from audience strategy and positioning through campaign execution — with measurable business results
- Exceptional ability to synthesize highly technical concepts into external audience narratives, customer value stories, and industry thought leadership that drives awareness and preference
- Proven experience developing and activating marketing content across the full outbound mix: executive presentations, white papers, solution briefs, digital campaigns, event activations, and media/analyst engagement
- Strong cross-functional influence skills — able to collaborate effectively with product management without conflating the two disciplines; clear understanding of where marketing responsibility begins and ends
- Strong executive presence and communication skills — confident presenting to partners, at industry conferences, and in internal leadership settings
- Experience building and leading teams; strong track record recruiting, developing, and retaining top marketing talent
- Eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law
Desired Qualifications
- a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- MBA or MS in a business or quantitative discipline
- Experience working with or marketing to hyperscalers, cloud service providers, and data center operators making platform-level infrastructure decisions — particularly system architects evaluating optical scale-up architectures
- Deep familiarity with co-packaged optics (CPO) architectures and advanced optical solutions — including photonic integrated circuits (PICs), silicon photonics light engines, and coherent DCI technologies — and the ecosystem dynamics required to bring next-generation optical connectivity to commercial scale
- Track record of building or scaling a product marketing function; prior people management experience
- Track record of representing a company at major optical and data center industry forums; experience such as OFC, ECOC, OCP, OIF, and other relevant standards bodies or equivalent
