Job Summary
Lead and optimize PMO governance, operating rhythms, and executive reporting to ensure predictable delivery and transparency. Oversee the lifecycle management of products from conception through end-of-life, ensuring phase-gate discipline and accountability. Partner closely with engineering, product management, sales, support, and supply chain to align priorities, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks. Develop executive-ready dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to provide clear visibility into project health, risks, and business outcomes. Drive continuous process improvements in dependency management, escalation procedures, and cross-BU coordination. Represent the PMO in cross-functional planning forums, ensuring commitments and timelines are actively managed. Lead, develop, and mentor a global team of 25-30 program management professionals, fostering a culture of execution, transparency, and customer focus. This role directly influences product delivery, operational efficiency, and organizational readiness across HPE's Private Cloud & Flex Solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in large-scale technical program management, product or engineering operations, or business operations within complex technology environments
- 5+ years of proven leadership managing managers, senior contributors, or distributed teams, preferably in cloud, software, or infrastructure sectors
- Proven track record of transforming or running a PMO in fast-paced, multi-product organizations
- Deep expertise in program governance, portfolio prioritization, risk management, dependency resolution, and executive reporting
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, agile methodologies, and cloud/software delivery practices
- Proficiency with PMO tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, and related reporting platforms
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- This role can be based in Houston, TX; Fort Collins, CO; or Andover, MA
- This role has been designed as 'Onsite' with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office
