Job Summary
Lead a large, AI-driven software engineering organization within Palo Alto Networks' NetSec group, overseeing a portfolio of AI-enabled security solutions. Define and execute the roadmap for AI-enabled solutions, drive architectural direction for scalable cloud-native applications leveraging AI/ML, partner with product, AI research, and cloud ops teams to ensure production-ready deployments, build and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering organization, recruit and develop top talent, and oversee the full SDLC to deliver secure, high-performing code in a CI/CD environment. The role emphasizes integrating Generative AI and automation into NetSec product lines, scaling teams, and advancing an AI-first mindset across the company.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of software development experience shipping large-scale, enterprise-grade cloud services or internal product platforms
- 6+ years of formal engineering management experience including managing other managers and leading geographically distributed teams
- Deep hands-on experience in modern software languages (Python, Golang, Java) and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Microservices)
- Recent experience delivering software products that utilize AI/ML, specifically involving LLM orchestration, AI Agents, RAG, or AI-driven automation workflows
- Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical strategies to executive leadership and influence stakeholders across different business units
