Job Summary
Senior role leading development and fundraising strategy for Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Partners with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to design and implement multi-year fundraising plans, supervise Donor Services and Insights Manager plus two Gift Officers, and align fundraising initiatives with program impact. Manages a portfolio of major and mid-level donors (30–50), drives donor communications and stewardship, oversees budgeting and performance metrics, and collaborates across Marketing, Programs, Finance, and Operations. Requires CFRE certification, compliance with Feeding America standards, 7–10 years of nonprofit fundraising leadership, and the ability to travel within the 90,000-square-mile service area including overnight trips. Full-time, exempt; evenings/weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Certified Fund-Raising Executive Certification (CFRE)
- Must maintain compliance with Feeding America standards and applicable federal/state regulatory requirements
- Valid Nevada driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Pre-employment Background Check Required
- Pre-employment Drug Screen Required
- Experience in fundraising leadership (7–10 years minimum) and donor stewardship systems
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and organizational alignment
- Experience securing and stewarding major gifts and managing donor portfolios (3M-5M)
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills
- Experience overseeing fundraising operations, budgets, forecasts, and revenue tracking
- Experience partnering with fundraising committees and boards
- Willingness to travel within service area (Nevada and eastern California)
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Experience with various fundraising programs (annual fund, major giving, mid-level giving, grants)
- Ability to develop and manage departmental fundraising budgets
