Job Summary
Sr. Director of AI Engineering leads a global agile engineering team across front-end, back-end, and AI-centric product development. Responsibilities include building systems that integrate large language models into products, leveraging AI tools to enhance capabilities, developing web applications using .NET and React, implementing RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, scalability, and security, conducting code reviews, fostering a high-performance engineering culture, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product and UX teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 12+ years of software development experience
- LLM Skills: Hands-on experience building AI agents with Large Language Models (LLMs), including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Knowledge of vector databases, memory systems, and human-in-the-loop workflows
- AI Tools: Hands-on with AI-driven development tools, intelligent code assistance, and workflow automation
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core/.NET 8+, Web API, Entity Framework Core
- Expertise in React.js, TypeScript, Redux, Next.js
- Experience with SQL Server, MS-SQL Server or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
- Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing
- DevOps & CI/CD - Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps
- Mentor junior developers
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- LLM Skills: Experience with using LLMs embeddings, RAG, VectorDB and prompt engineering building production grade applications
