Job Summary
SBP’s Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications will lead a team to amplify storytelling for donors, volunteers, and partners, develop and implement fundraising and brand-building plans, oversee all communications and branding, manage external agencies, and drive a launch of a new name/brand; responsibilities include strategy, content creation, analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and disaster-response communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in Marketing and Communications
- Minimum of 5 years managing, developing, mentoring, and supporting a diverse and high-performing team
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other graphics/creative platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management; willingness to learn new applications
- Familiarity with asset-based and/or social impact design approaches to community development, volunteerism, corporate philanthropy, and tutoring/mentoring
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong strategic, analytical, and operational planning skills with metrics-based decision making
- Strong project management and ability to prioritize, delegate, and build systems
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communications strategies within a large, complex organization
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Availability for disaster response communications outside normal hours
- Understanding of IRS regulations governing charitable contributions
