Job Summary
The Sr Director Human Resources provides holistic strategic leadership for HR across multiple Flooring North America units, partnering with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals. This role serves as the senior HR business partner across five locations (including Mexicali), guiding HR strategy, policies, talent strategy, employee relations, change management, organizational development, and workforce planning for approximately 1,000 employees. Responsibilities include strategic counsel to senior management, fostering a positive culture aligned with company values, overseeing employee relations and policy adherence, leading investigations and conflict resolution, ensuring effective goal setting and performance reviews, identifying skill gaps with targeted training, budgeting, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 12+ years of relevant experience with at least 7+ years in management, along with excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Travel expected around 10%. The employee will be responsible for direct reports across multiple locations and will contribute to Mohawk Industries’ global leadership in flooring manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 12+ years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
- 7+ years of management experience
