Sr. Director, Finance -IT

Job Summary

Define and own the multi-year Finance IT technology strategy aligned to CFO priorities and enterprise architecture standards. Oversee end-to-end delivery of programs spanning new implementations, upgrades, and integrations across Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, Asset Accounting, Payroll, Order-to-Cash, and Budget & Forecasting. Ensure high availability of mission-critical platforms including Workday Finance, BlackLine, Lucernex, and Oracle ePBCS while managing SLAs, incident response, and root cause resolution. Lead platform rationalization, consolidation, and modernization initiatives, auditing system capabilities against utilization to optimize total cost of ownership. Drive transformation programs for close automation, AI-assisted reconciliation, and Generative AI integration. Own Legal and Compliance systems, including Ironclad CLM administration and contract lifecycle management. Establish and maintain SOX General Controls, access management, and continuous monitoring capabilities across all in-scope systems. Lead a global team of engineers, architects, and product owners to deliver scalable, resilient finance technology solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
  • 5+ years in a Finance IT or ERP leadership role
  • Deep platform expertise in Workday Financials (including Workday Accounting Center)
  • Experience leading complex, multi-workstream Finance technology programs in a global enterprise
  • Strong domain knowledge across R2R, S2P, AP, O2C, Asset Accounting, Payroll, and FP&A processes
  • Experience with financial close platforms (BlackLine preferred)
  • Experience with planning/budgeting tools (Oracle ePBCS or equivalent)
  • Track record of leading and developing diverse, distributed global technology teams
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to Finance executives while maintaining delivery accountability
  • Strong understanding of SOX controls, financial compliance, and audit requirements in a technology context
  • Demonstrated Finance technology acumen—proven ability to assess platform utilization depth, lead application rationalization initiatives, and shape a forward-looking roadmap grounded in industry direction, vendor strategy, and emerging AI capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Workday Finance certification(s) or implementation credentials
  • Experience with Lucernex or comparable lease accounting platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Ironclad CLM or comparable contract lifecycle management platforms (Conga, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft)
  • Familiarity with CLM integrations into Salesforce and Finance systems
  • Experience supporting Legal Operations or Compliance technology functions, including policy management, matter tracking, or ethics/hotline platforms
  • Exposure to AI/ML use cases within finance automation (intelligent reconciliation, anomaly detection, NLP in reporting)
