Job Summary
Senior Director, Costing at Under Armour based in Hong Kong leads global costing across Apparel, Accessories, and Footwear, driving end-to-end costing governance, AI-enabled models, and capability building to protect margin and accelerate decision-making. The role partners with Product, Development, Finance, and Sourcing to translate strategies into executable costing frameworks, lead should-cost analyses, and deliver cost transparency across regions and suppliers while advancing digital tools, cost governance, and cross-functional collaboration. Core responsibilities include global costing strategy and execution, cost engineering and margin protection, AI-enabled costing and digital tooling, supplier economics and commercial stewardship, cross-functional partnership, operating model governance, and team leadership with a focus on cost accuracy, lifecycle profitability, and rapid, data-driven decision support. Required skills include deep expertise in product costing, cost breakdowns, supplier economics, and total landed cost; experience implementing digital and AI-enabled tools in sourcing/costing; strong negotiation and cross-functional influence; and leadership in a fast-paced global organization. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in sourcing/procurement, 5+ years in leadership, and is expected to reside within commuting distance of the Hong Kong office; there is an emphasis on extended hours interacting with senior executives and extensive experience in apparel/footwear.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10 years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in apparel, accessories, and footwear industry highly desirable
- Robust negotiation and international business experience
- Experience with AI-driven solutions and digital transformation in sourcing
- Industry expertise and risk management experience
- Strong cross-functional influence and communication skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, global organization
- Mastery-level knowledge of costing in apparel, accessories, and footwear
- Extended work hours and frequent interaction with senior executives (VP, SVP, EVP, President, C-level)
