Job Summary
Sr. Director of Business Development for the Diagnostic Services unit responsible for managing senior-level customer relationships, expanding OEM/Contract Manufacturing opportunities, and leading a team to build and prioritize a robust business pipeline. The role entails targeting new customers, maintaining key contacts at decision-maker level, negotiating pricing and contracts, managing RFQs and proposals, collaborating with Strategic Account Directors, delivering technical/business presentations, and contributing to strategic planning and project prioritization. The position may be based remotely but requires frequent travel to Middletown with an expected travel rate around 30%. The candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of the IVD industry, operations, supply chain, and project management, and possess the ability to articulate clear value propositions for services and products across diagnostics and related manufacturing capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field or business preferred
- minimum 5 years in management with experience in IVD industry
- 10-15 years total experience with 5-10 years in Sales, New Business Development, Strategic Marketing or National/Corporate accounts
- strong financial and business acumen including IRR/ROI/NPV
- ability to identify opportunities, develop value propositions and close agreements
