Job Summary
Lead and manage product marketing and strategy professionals to develop and prioritize investments that hit voluntary churn targets. Execute A/B testing to optimize the retention budget and build business cases for new capital projects impacting churn. Communicate investment opportunities to C-suite stakeholders to secure alignment and approval on new strategies. Collaborate with Operations, IT, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of retention initiatives. Requires 7–10 years of experience, 5 years in senior leadership, and approximately 10% travel. This role supports the DIRECTV Retention Strategy team in preserving the existing customer base and delivering short-term cash flow targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 7 – 10 years of experience in product marketing or related roles
- at least 5 years in a senior leadership position
- 5 years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing insights
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex product features and benefits to various audiences
- Experience in managing and mentoring high-performing marketing teams
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions
- Industry-specific knowledge relevant to the company's products or services
- May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer's proprietary data
- This role requires, but is not limited to, approximately 10% travel
- This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States, with the exception of Alaska
