Job Summary
Translate business and marketing objectives into designs for e-commerce, email, and social initiatives. Produce design specifications, prototypes, and hand-code HTML for email deployment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Present multiple solutions to the creative director, supervise other designers, and collaborate with copywriters to refine layouts on tight schedules. Resolve email service provider issues and ensure brand accuracy across all deliverables. Stay current on industry trends and best practices while driving the creative process with effective feedback.
Required Qualifications
- BFA in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Studies or other design-related field
- 5-7 years of professional experience in web design or multimedia
- Online retail experience
- Strong graphic design, layout, typography, image manipulation, and color correction skills
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, HTML, flash
- Familiar with InDesign
- Expert in ideas generation and collaboration with copy and photography creative partners
- Detailed-oriented
- Well organized
- Ability to thrive in deadline driven environment
- Ability to apply user interface and interactive design best practices to projects
- Strong communication skills
- Solid experience with resizing, optimizing and slicing of graphics
- Willing to be flexible in job duties and take on added responsibility when necessary
- Ability to manage competing, high priority projects while identifying creative solutions quickly and to self-direct under ambiguous and changing circumstances
