Job Summary

Architect and own OpenGov's multi-tenant Azure and AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness at scale. Lead infrastructure-as-code strategy using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi, and design CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins to enable rapid feature delivery. Drive cloud cost optimization and performance engineering while maintaining SOC2 and StateRamp compliance through rigorous security posture management. Establish observability practices with Grafana and Prometheus to lead incident response and post-mortem processes. Serve as a cross-functional technical advisor to engineering and product teams, mentoring junior engineers to elevate technical standards and operational excellence across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering
  • 3+ years running Kubernetes at scale in production on public cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Proven track record designing and managing AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure for SaaS applications, including Managed Kubernetes Clusters (AKS/GCP/EKS), Database, Networking, RBAC Management etc
  • Hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi/Crossplane) in production environments
  • Strong command of CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or equivalent) and modern delivery practices
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security practices, including encryption, RBAC/IAM, and network security architecture
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, or Ruby)
  • Experience with AI-driven developer tooling, workflow automation, or agent-based systems in an engineering context
  • Familiarity with ArgoCD or other GitOps-based deployment frameworks
  • Experience operating in regulated environments and navigating compliance frameworks such as SOC2 or StateRamp
