Job Summary
Sr. Development Engineer with leadership in NPI project delivery and full-spectrum engineering ownership. Responsible for high-level definition, planning, execution and timely delivery of new/derivative products, ensuring compliance with legislative, industrial and company standards, meeting roadmap and customer order schedules, and driving a range of product topics via monthly PCM. Provides engineering output, prototype building, validation/verification activities, test guidance on-site, and readiness of ERP/documentation for product launches. Champions technical guidance to less experienced staff, ensures design and manufacturing processes align with supply chain and aftermarket needs, and collaborates with multifunctional teams to deliver class-leading products while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Requires degree in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in new product development, oil-injected technology, CAE simulations, and cross-functional project management. Fluency in English and strong communication/negotiating skills in an international environment is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in new product development and technical support
- Experience in oil injected technology (vacuum pump or compressor)
- Knowledge in heat transfer and thermodynamics, rotating element bearings, lubrication systems, electric motors, gearboxes, small clearance mechanisms, vacuum technology
- Excellent project management
- Basic electrical design, manufacturing processes and supply chains
- Product validation/verification via experimental techniques, risk assessments, mathematical modelling, CAE simulations
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate with international English speakers
- Experience working in decentralised organisations with different processes
- Analytical mindset and strong communication skills
- Teamplayer and cross-functional collaboration
