Sr Developer, C# .NET & APIs

Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications and services using C# and .NET technologies. Lead implementation of scalable, secure solutions for large-scale data processing while collaborating with Product, Architecture, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs. Drive software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices, and troubleshoot complex production issues to improve system reliability. Mentor junior developers, participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning and backlog refinement, and develop REST-based APIs for internal and external integrations. This hybrid role requires two days in-person at a TU office location.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications, with a strong focus on backend development using object-oriented programming principles
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and application architecture, enabling the development of scalable and maintainable solutions
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and iterative delivery of business value
- Experience implementing automated testing and CI/CD practices, ensuring software quality, release reliability, and operational efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core for developing enterprise backend applications and services
- REST (Representational State Transfer) APIs and Web Services, including designing, developing, and integrating service-based architectures
- SQL and relational databases (SQL Server preferred) for data access, performance tuning, and application support
- Git version control and modern development workflows, including branching, pull requests, and collaborative code reviews
- CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tools and practices, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms
- This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of SOAP and REST web services and enterprise system integrations
- Experience working with large-scale data processing systems and high-volume transactional applications
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools, including application performance monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
