Job Summary
Senior Designer (Instrumentation & Electrical) to lead design of Instrument & Control Systems for Oil & Gas refineries and chemical plants. Drive detailed electrical design tasks including wiring/loop diagrams, junction boxes, marshalling panels, DCS/PLC cabinets, BOMs, conduit and cable tray drawings, and low-voltage design. Requires 5-10+ years in instrument & control system design, strong AutoCAD (2D) and Excel skills, field experience, and familiarity with NEC codes; candidate will perform field surveys, participate in cutovers, review P&IDs and interlock schematics, and ensure safety/compliance. Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in Instrument & Control System Design within the Oil & Gas and Chemical industries
- High proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Excel
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation design, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Ability to work in field environments and participate in cutover planning/execution
- Experience with fiber routing and general fiber optic knowledge
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience with MicroStation, CADWorx, BlueBeam, and Access; familiarity with NEC codes and general electrical design
