Sr. Design Researcher, Geospatial & Utility Operations

Senior-level Sr. Design Researcher focused on geospatial and utility operations. Build decision-centered customer profiles mapped to utility roles, create end-to-end service design across utility operating models (hazard prevention, grid monitoring, vegetation management, field response, escalation, reporting, post-event review), lead GIS and data-rich workflow research, study trust in automation, and establish an evidence architecture to connect customer profile, workflow, data sources, and product decisions. Develop service blueprints, journey maps, and multi-stakeholder workshops; translate findings into actionable product implications. Autonomous, founding-team oriented and able to drive research practices from inception, with strong synthesis and communication skills suitable for leadership-level audiences. Bonus familiarity with GIS/geospatial data-heavy workflows and complex technical environments.
