Job Summary
Lead design engineering projects for centrifugal and axial fans in Power, Industrial and Nuclear sectors, from concept through installation and commissioning; perform engineering analyses (strength of materials, statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, vibrations, fluids, performance, and sound); ensure conformance to specifications; conduct design reviews of drawings and BOMs; manage quality documentation (NCRs, deviations, corrective actions); compose technical reports and test procedures; provide technical assistance to Field Operations, Manufacturing, Test Facility, Quality, and Supply Chain; represent the company with customers and partners; travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering or the equivalent
- Registered Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one
- Experience with FEA
- 5+ years of design experience within an air and gas handling, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial firm
- Familiarity with API, MIL, SAE, ANSI, ASME, ASTM standards
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering specifications, drawings and bills of materials
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (3D) and AutoCAD (2D) or equivalent
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project-management skills
- Willingness to travel
