Sr Demand Planner, Supply Chain

Job Summary
Execute material requirements planning (MRP) and manage purchase/work orders to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods. Monitor supplier performance for on-time delivery and quality, expediting materials and resolving supply issues to avoid production delays. Maintain accurate planning parameters in ERP systems, analyze demand forecasts, and coordinate production schedules across Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales teams. Generate shortage reports, supplier schedules, and KPIs while participating in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company procurement policies. Works on problems of a moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain roles in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Must have excellent communication skills to be able to pass the necessary information to both internal and external stakeholders
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have good leadership abilities
- Must always exhibit a high level of flexibility and an ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Must possess good reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Must have good time management ability to be able to meet orders and schedules
- Must be able to make use of different database programs, especially Microsoft Excel
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations
Desired Qualifications
- APICS certification or training preferred
