Job Summary
Perform legal and policy evaluations of classified national security records, conducting page-by-page reviews to determine declassification eligibility under applicable laws and executive orders. Manage interagency referrals, apply redactions when necessary, document review decisions, and ensure compliance with security and records management requirements while supporting the timely release of government information. Maintain Top Secret clearance with Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI) and Restricted Data (RD) eligibility, utilizing proficiency with government tracking databases like DDSS and NARA archives systems. This contingent hire role requires a Top Secret clearance with eligibility, U.S. citizenship, and five years of records or classified document experience.
Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- active Top Secret clearance with eligibility
- 5 years of records or classified document experience
- Access required to review/declassify documents on DODNet-J(JWICS), SIPRNet networks, up to and including SCI
- trained in recognizing restricted information
- maintain a Top Secret clearance with Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI)
- Restricted Data (RD)
- Formerly Restricted Data (FRD)
- passed necessary Department of Energy, Historical Records Restricted Data Reviewers (HRRDR) course
- Proficiency with government tracking databases like the Document Declassification Support System (DDSS) and NARA archives systems
- Ability to maintain high accuracy benchmarks
