Job Summary
Sr. Database Engineer I (Security Focus) designs, deploys, and sustains secure database environments that support enterprise security platforms, analytics, and SIEM capabilities in classified, mission-critical systems. Partners with cybersecurity, SIEM, and infrastructure teams to support enclave-based data migrations, optimize high-volume log and telemetry pipelines, and ensure resilient backup and recovery. Requires strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning for large-scale security data, and implementing encryption and access controls in TS/SCI environments under federal compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 5+ years of experience as a database engineer
- Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch
- Experience supporting large-scale data environments (log aggregation, telemetry, event data)
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
- Experience implementing encryption at rest and in transit
- Understanding of data retention policies and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Linux-based database environments
