Sr. Database Administrator – NPS

Research, design, implement, and manage enterprise database systems for mission-critical business systems on AWS environments. Lead complex database migrations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives while designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Monitor, analyze, and improve database performance, scalability, and reliability for enterprise SQL Server and Aurora Postgres platforms. Ensure security, compliance, backup, and recovery strategies are properly implemented and maintain the architecture, health, and operational reliability of the Reporting Database. Manage the CDC pipeline's health, reliability, and daily operations, including data truncation processes to meet retention requirements. Establish database change governance across PostgreSQL and SQL Server, defining and auditing access governance and least privilege principles. Review complex, high-risk schema and query changes, guiding engineering teams on solution design and best practices. Support production systems through on-call rotation and continue updating technical knowledge on emerging database technologies and AI-enabled operational tools.
