Job Summary
Sr. Data Scientist responsible for developing and maintaining accurate system-level forecasts on a weekly basis for US and international markets; conducting thorough research on macroeconomic trends and industry developments to inform forecasting models and strategic planning; analyzing market segmentation and pricing strategies to identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy; partnering with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that optimize sales and profitability; contributing to the team-wide code base and collaboratively testing and merging work into production with business partners; generating and presenting complex analyses to an executive audience to influence decisions and capitalize on opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related quantitative field of study
- 5 years of progressive experience in Data Science and Statistics related to business OR Master’s degree or equivalent and 1 year of experience in Data Science and Statistics related to business in lieu ofBachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience
- Experience with Bayesian methods, time series data and forecasting algorithms
- SQL, Python, and developing algorithms to address business problems through statistical analysis on enterprise-scale datasets
- Predictive modeling and machine learning techniques (including classification, predictive, and artificial neural networks) and their real-world application
- Statistical techniques including regression, probability, distributions, and statistical testing with hands-on experience using Python, R, or SA
