Job Summary
Ingest raw data from third-party APIs and transform it into integrated, documented, and governed datasets in the warehouse while building scalable pipeline design. Partner with product engineering teams to anticipate upcoming data needs supporting reporting, analysis, and data science functions. Deeply understand existing data pipelines to provide perspectives on future optimization or refactoring for continued growth. Troubleshoot code and data issues as they present themselves and introduce new tools to scale development processes. Leverage expertise in data ingestion, integration, observability, and data modeling within a modestly-sized fast-paced team of approximately 20 members.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior capacity
- Experience working with modestly-sized fast-paced teams
- Significant hands-on experience with the modern data stack
- Strong proficiency with SQL
- Strong proficiency with Python
- Strong proficiency with ELT
- Strong proficiency with data modeling
- Strong proficiency with Git
- Experience focused on system resilience
- Care for operational excellence
- Observability
- Reliability across the data platform
- Strong communication skills
- Product management skills
- Working knowledge of technical delivery through an iterative value-focused approach
