Architect and own scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines on AWS, defining the strategy for the data environment using Databricks or Snowflake. Develop clean, optimized, and automated solutions in Python and SQL while mentoring junior engineers and leading ambiguous projects from conception to delivery. Embrace a builder mentality to shape the technical roadmap and solve diverse challenges within cross-functional teams. This role requires 5-8+ years of experience and is located in Irvine, CA, or Frisco, TX.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of professional data engineering experience
- Deep, expert-level proficiency with Python
- Deep, expert-level proficiency with SQL
- Hands-on, expert-level experience with Databricks OR Snowflake
- Expert-level experience building and managing data solutions on AWS
- Deep expertise in designing and architecting scalable data platforms
- Proven ability to lead complex, ambiguous projects from conception to delivery
- Experience mentoring other engineers and helping to level up the team
- A "builder" mindset, a startup mentality, and a genuine thirst for knowledge
- Exceptional communication skills
- The flexibility to think fast
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with GenAI, AI/ML frameworks, and MLOps
