Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer at YETI responsible for designing, building, and operating YETI’s enterprise data platform with a strong emphasis on Azure Databricks and Google BigQuery. This role enables modern analytics, advanced reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. Responsibilities include creating scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Google technologies, leading analytical data model development with Databricks and BigQuery, integrating SAP data sources (HANA, S/4HANA), optimizing data pipelines for machine learning workflows with Vertex AI, ensuring data quality and governance, performing data profiling, and collaborating with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. The role also owns the data infrastructure of our BigQuery data warehouse and related GCP services, and supports ETL/BI developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- At least 8 years of experience in data engineering
- Experience with Google BigQuery and Databricks
- Python programming
- SQL proficiency
- Experience with GCP tools (BigQuery, Airflow, Dataflow, Databricks)
- Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling and ER-Modeling
- Experience integrating SAP data sources (SAP HANA, S/4HANA)
- Experience with SAP Datasphere is a plus
- Experience with Java and NodeJS
- Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD experience preferred
