Job Summary
Sr. Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and scalable data warehousing solutions using Azure data services. Role involves extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources into a data lake/warehouse, collaborating with data scientists and analysts to meet functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security, and automating processes for scalability. Requires DoD Secret clearance, 7+ years of related experience, strong Azure ETL tooling (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, SQL Database, Synapse), and familiarity with SQL, Python, R, SAS, and JavaScript. Onsite presence 4 days a week in Arlington, VA, with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field
- 7+ years of related experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Strong experience in data extract transform load (ETL) processes using Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics)
- 4+ years of experience with AI/ML, NLP, robotics process automation, artificial intelligence, data mining, statistics and mathematical methods
- Experience with SQL for complex queries
- Onsite presence 4 days a week
- Travel up to 10% (Local)
