Sr Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Summary
Monitor and respond to security alerts from SIEM, endpoint security, firewalls, and email gateways as a Tier 3 SOC engineer. Perform incident response activities including discovery, threat analysis, response, remediation, and containment, often involving network and endpoint forensics. Manage DLP alerts and process security service requests such as reviewing malicious attachments, firewall change requests, and vulnerability scans. Lead an assigned SecOps pillar, overseeing operations and technical implementations of security projects. Support global security initiatives and perform vulnerability or penetration testing activities to drive remediation. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience with SIEM, DLP, and forensics skills.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of SIEM platforms and security operations
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, DLP, IDS, IPS, vulnerability scanning, firewall, endpoint security or email security systems
- Solid experience in handling, investigating, and responding to malware events, incident response, network and/or endpoint forensics
- Experience managing and securing Windows, Linux, and Mac systems
- Willingness to cover US, EMEA or APAC working hours following a sustainable rotation schedule and at times cover on-call duties
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum of 5-8 years related experience
- Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience
- PhD and 0-2 years experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in scripting (Python or PowerShell) and familiarity with Regex
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, or malware forensics, or penetration testing
- Relevant security certification/s such as CISSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC, CEH, etc.
